About this programme

How it works

What you'll learn, how you'll learn it, and where it leads.

Cloud engineering is the infrastructure backbone of modern software, and Nigerian companies are hiring for it aggressively as they migrate from on-premise servers — banks moving core systems, telcos re-architecting billing platforms, startups building on AWS from day one. This eight-month online track takes you from Linux fundamentals to operating containerised production platforms with the automation practices that distinguish cloud engineers from server administrators.

The learning arc is deliberate. You start with Linux administration and networking because every cloud service abstracts these foundations and debugging requires understanding what is underneath. Cloud architecture follows: compute, storage, networking, IAM and cost management on AWS, taught through scenarios like designing a highly available architecture for a Nigerian fintech within a realistic budget. Then containers and Kubernetes — where most of the industry's complexity and most of its salaries live — followed by infrastructure as code with Terraform, CI/CD pipelines, GitOps delivery with ArgoCD, and observability with Prometheus and Grafana.

Everything is assessed through doing. You build environments, break them on purpose, restore them, write post-incident reviews, and finish with an SRE capstone: operate a small production platform end to end — deploy releases, define SLOs, respond to injected incidents, manage costs — while documenting decisions the way a real platform team would. Graduates leave with a portfolio of infrastructure code on GitHub, not screenshots of consoles.
