How it works
What you'll learn, how you'll learn it, and where it leads.
Nigeria's cybersecurity job market is growing faster than its talent pool: NDPA enforcement, CBN's risk-based cybersecurity framework for financial institutions, and a wave of ransomware and business email compromise have made security hires non-negotiable for banks, telcos, fintechs and energy companies. This seven-month track trains you into that gap with genuinely practical blue-team skills rather than certification-exam trivia.
You learn by defending real infrastructure. The programme runs its own lab environment — Windows and Linux endpoints, a simulated corporate network, deliberately vulnerable services — where you configure logging, write detection rules in a SIEM, investigate alerts, and run full incident response exercises including forensic triage. Every technique maps to MITRE ATT&CK so you learn the industry vocabulary employers use.
The curriculum covers the working analyst's day: monitoring queues, triaging alerts, escalating genuine incidents, writing reports stakeholders can act on, and hardening systems so incidents do not recur. Later modules add governance, risk and compliance — the NDPA obligations, ISO 270001 concepts and audit support work that mid-level roles demand. The capstone is a multi-day SOC simulation: you run shifts against a live attack scenario, then defend your detection coverage and decisions to practising security leads.
